Slit Skirt & Sunshine // Boardwalk Stroll

I love to walk so it's no wonder that my favorite parts of LA  are the areas where you can take long strolls - the Venice/Santa Monica boardwalk and Melrose. I love stopping by all the shops along the way, enjoying the warm weather, and even having a lunch date al fresca with my parents visiting from Florida.

Of course, no outing to the beach can be justified without a complete summer look. First, let me start off by saying that I am an Amazon shopping addict. There is not a week that goes by where I don't get at least three packages from them. Their fashion department is expanding quickly and therefore more reason to shop the great deals. The seersucker split skirt was only $22! It also comes in pink and gray. I like that the fabric is thin enough but comes with an inner lining - anyone who wants to wear a summer skirt would prefer not to sweat in a supposed breezy piece. It does have a button front, which is my favorite part about the skirt; you can be a little risque by keeping some unbuttoned to show off those legs or button it all the way down - your prerogative. Did I also mention it's perfect for petites 5'2" and under?! Depending on how high you like to wear your skirt, this piece is great for those vertically challenged, like myself, with no hem necessary. Did I also mention that it has pockets?! I finished the look with a boxed top, styled by tying the front end and rolling up the sleeves. It's one of my favorite pieces for the summer and I can pair it with so many bottoms!
