Live, Love, Lilac // Spring Coats

This labile winter weather with it's crazy 20 degree swings has got me saying - I'm OVER it! I'm ready for Spring, Easter, and all the pretty pastel colors, but until it officially gets here, I have to settle for my own flowers in the form of this gorgeous lilac coat.

I got this peplum coat from Crew Cuts [J.Crew Kids] and as I've said before, my favorite coats come from J.Crew because they're quality  made and so vibrant in color. Sadly, they've retired most of their line for the season [how?! it's still snowing in parts of the US!] so I've linked similar lilac coats that are just as pretty.

Nordstrom is currently having a sale on this Halogen coat for 40% off, which is an amazing deal! It's a loose-fit style, with a single button and notched lapels. The coat also comes in leopard print and light grey.

ASOS has a Mango peacoat, fitted and lined. It comes with functional pockets [why can't everything be functional? Who wants a 'pretend" pocket only to remember you can't use them?!], cropped, and with two oversized buttons so you can over lap to your preference.

Although it may not be the traditional coat, BooHoo has a soft teddy faux fur coat that I've been eying! It's also on sale for $30 and  all sizes in stock.

As for completing the look, I decided to pair it with a black striped long sleeve mock neck top to give it contrast. I finished the look with white pants to piggyback with the brightness of the lilac color. I styled it by partially tucking the top in the front and kept it belt-less to get a more dressy/casual relaxed look for work.
