What is it about a clear blue summer day that makes an outfit prettier? Or is it the other way around?  We went to my favorite little town of Chagrin for brunch and decided to go neutral. I've always loved camel and cognac pieces but never wore them, I thought with my  skin tone it would wash me out. This outfit may seem dressed up, however, it felt airy and flowy [my favorite adjectives!]—not to mention light and comfortable. The trench vest is such a versatile piece, especially in this color. You can even pair it with jean shorts and a round felt hat for a bohemian look ready for Coachella. My Naked Zebra dress had a scalloped top and gold bead tipped belt with touch of peach color that added contrast to the vest. Layering shades within the same color family not only adds depth and ties an ensemble together but it also makes it look elegant without the effort.

I used my new favorite accessory for the summer to add a pop of color—my Henri Bendel Continental XL wallet [50% off!]. I'm not a fan of carrying oversized bags [unless I'm obligated to] so this can fit all my necessities including my cell phone. I decided to wear my everlasting Vince Camuto cognac wedges [SIMILAR, also seen HERE] knowing we were going to do some walking around town, plus the fact that it matched my wallet so well. To top off this amazing outfit, I wore a marble pendant necklace and  madewell cage ring, both simple pieces with a fashion statement. Needless to say, brunch was wonderful.
