Although I’ll miss the summer sun and pretty maxi dresses, I’m so excited for fall! I’m currently transitioning my closet to the dark rich colors I love to wear during the season.. Obviously this includes several pieces of blacks and blues. and a more edgy look. I find that during the cooler weather, I tend to gravitate toward this kind of style with its clean lines. Which is also perfect for work attire!
I simply adore the Cathleen cami from Two Feathers. The steel blue top was a perfect match paired with my navy blue pencil skirt and point heels. The asymmetrical style is the perfect balance of classic and edgy; appropriate for both work and night functions. I love mixing hues of the same color family, because no matter what, you’ll still match and it meets my ‘pop of color’/accent requirement. The cami top also comes in black – HERE. It does run small, so I upsized to a medium, although a small would have been fine since it was loose around the side and top. The fabric is 100% polyester and thick but soft, the quality is definitely top notch.
Clearly, asymmetrical is the name of the game with my second top I picked out from Two Feathers. The Marcia long sleeve is just what the girl ordered to stay fashionable and polished while being warm during the fall. I love the collard off-shoulder detail along with the pinstripe pattern of the top. The sizing is a little tricky – and got a medium on this too, but should have gotten a small. The fabric is polyester and spandex [! I love anything with spandex because you can downsize and get a better fit with a little bit of stretch].
The top also comes in black, which I would also pair with their Veronica trench coat to complete the look. I did dress up the white Marcia top even more with a tie wide leg crop pant [SIMILAR 1, SIMILAR 2, SIMILAR 3]. and stiletto heels. If my day job was at Vogue – this would be my staple outfit to work, but for now I’ll be wearing this gem to numerous holiday work parties and my happy hour girls night out.
Thank you to Two Feathers for partnering on this post!
