After the heat in the month of August, Fall is finally here and along with it comes my favorite outfits of all the seasons and outdoor adventures! I LOVE to hike and being out in nature – especially when it’s next to water. We went to a place in Cleveland called Squaw Rock, it reminded so much of Portland and Multnomah Falls. The hike is part of the city’s metro parks, where you can also camp and even go horseback riding.
For the hike and the cool weather, I donned my two fall favorites, my herringbone puffer vest [ON SALE for $39.50, no code needed – orig. $89.50] and my Henri Bendel rain boots. I love the quilted stitch of the vest and it’s a print that’s perfect for the colder seasons. Another print I also like is the Gatsby floral from J.Crew. The vest does run large, I ordered an XXS and it was still loose. Although, it does help when you want to layer. I plan to pair it with thick turtle neck sweaters come winter time.
As for my wellies [rain boots], unfortunately these are a collector’s item and Henri Bendel no longer sell/makes them. An alternative that I found were the Hunter Tall Classic Rain Boot in white. I love the matte feel of the boot and plan on getting it in hunter green!

I also wanted to show you how versatile the vest is – even with different prints and bottoms. With such a neutral color, you can even add accents like a red skirt or camel scarf. How would you dress it?
