When it comes to Paris, the city is never short of beautiful palaces to go to. It so happens Palais Royal is right next door to another former home of royalty, The Louvre. Palais Royal may not be as gaudy as the other palaces, but it is just as beautiful and my favorite. The three reasons for this claim is the fact that not many tourists flock to it like the other must-see sights [which means less crowds and more relaxation], there’s morning yoga right in the courtyard, and it has the most amazing full bloom roses I have ever seen!
So what do I wear on our last day of our trip in the City of Light? The only summer top I packed, this adorable chandelier-sleeved piece [also seen HERE] It’s the best combination of summer and chic, with the gorgeous pop of color and the off-the-shoulder look. To make the color even brighter, I made sure to wear it with a dark pair of black fitted ankle jeans. I may have ended up looking like a bumble bee, but the color combo goes so well together.
To continue the bumble bee theme, I was fully equipped with my Soludos striped lace-ups to complete the look. These have always been my go-to espadrilles and have been with me on every single annual trip the hubby and I have taken. They’re comfortable [I walked a total of 323,000 steps in these babies] and a complete fashion statement!
Since I completely go bananas for off-the-shoulders and pretty sleeves, I’ve also linked 3 pieces that look exactly like my top in dress form. Not to mention that Nordstrom, J. Crew, and Asos are my top favorite brands with quality fashions. I’ve got my eye on every single one, would it be too much if I got all 3?!
STYLE TIP: To get a more classic look, I decided to wear it with white pants for brunch at Champs Elysees. Don’t be afraid to make a piece versatile by mixing and matching it multiple times to get different looks. This makes it timeless and can become part of a closet collection.
