On the last day of our mini vacay in Michigan, we decided to take a trip to Nickels Arcade [our present day “mall”] and brunch. I loved seeing the historical sight and what boutiques would have looked like in the early 19th century. Now they were occupied with flower shops filled with trending succulents and modern day women’s clothing.
The feel good warm weather and clear skies made me wear a lash lace cami, white distressed jeans, and my new wicker sandals. I always want to feel relaxed on Sundays or when I’m running errands so my go to basics are jeans with a tank top [obviously the satin cami was an upgraded tank since it was brunch day!]. As you may remember, I’m slowly growing my pink collection and this lash lace satin cami will be my third pink item [be proud – I’ve been trying to reset my classically conditioned brain]. I love the minimal yet elegant lash lace, which is my favorite kind of lace and is what got me sold on this piece [similar one online for only $16 – HERE!].
The distressed jeans are mid-rise, which I prefer, and what the hubby calls the “grandma style” because it sits so high. Lol.. I like the way it hugs the hips and are a winner if you’re trying to avoid spending $$$ on a pair. These Abound jeans are only available at Nordstrom Rack and for just $35 – HERE. With the neutral color of the cami and the white jeans, I added my new pair of wicker sandals, they are SO ADORABLE and reminds me of the chairs at the french bistros in Paris. You can also see me wearing them in an earlier post – HERE. The wrapped blocked heel also made these gems comfortable as I walked around town.
Style Tip: I styled the cami by tucking the front into the jeans to give the high-low look as I have a short torso. If you tend to get cold – wear a black cardigan to contrast the nude color of the top and white jeans. Lastly, I rolled my jeans all the way up to my ankles to make my legs appear longer and skinnier.
SAVA’S – If you ever find yourself in Ann Arbor, be sure to make some room in your tummy for brunch at this amazingly delicious place. We ordered our go to brunch meals – eggs benedict and avocado toast. It did not disappoint!
