I have always dreamed of visiting London when I was in college and now I’ve been here twice!  It’s such a beautiful city full of rich history and gorgeous views. We were only here for the day, but next time, I’ll be staying at least a week to venture out into the country too. They always say -third time is a charm!

Before I tell you all the details of the day – let’s talk about this gorgeous piece of clothing, my trench coat. It’s a relaxed trench with all the features of a classic one! I got this piece from Chicwish and it’s currently on sale for only $65 [originally $85], plus get 10% off your order with code FIL10. My favorite is the draped lapels and the fabric. The material is 100% polyester and so comfortable, not the usual stiffness you feel with other trench coats. It also features double gun flaps, adjustable buckle sleeves, and a weighted textured belt. Be careful of the sizing though, because it does run small. I suggest you size up, depending on where you like to have the belt, tt could sit above your waist. Even with the sizing, this is one of my favorite trenches and it fit the style I was going for on this trip, metropolitan city girl vibes.

Okay, back to my trip – from the moment we got off the platform at St. Pancras, it felt like home for two reasons, the train station reminded me of New York City’s Grand Central and the fact that everyone spoke English [even better that it was with lovely British accent that could make any girl swoon! And also because we were in Paris for a week prior to this visit]. My sister is a big fan of Harry Potter so I took her and my mom to Platform 3/4 at King’s Cross, immediately across from St. Pancras. The line was long so be there early.

After visiting the Platform, we decided to take the train to Westminster – get your Oyster card [UK’s version of a metro card], it’s cheaper than having to pay per ride. The MUST SEE of London are [if you’re pressed for time like we were, definitely go to the ones in bold]:

Westminster Abbey Big Ben Parliament • London Eye • Tower Bridge •Tower of London • Piccadilly CircusBuckingham PalaceJames Park • Chinatown • The Globe • Kensington Palace • Hampstead [just outside of the city, but such a pretty town that shows how lovely the country is outside of city center]

When you’re in Chinatown be sure to stop by Gerard’s Corner for delicious dim sum and right across from it is a place called Bake, a shop that has the cutest little custard filled fish shaped pastries that tasted just like a puff pastry among its’  treats! By the end of the day my sister and I were discussing how we were going to get nursing jobs, move into a flat, and never move back. Have you ever been? What did you do and what was your favorite part?
