This year we decided that we would take advantage of all the holidays and weekends to go on mini vacations. For Easter holiday, we went to Ann Arbor! This weekend was full of many firsts—my first time in the charming city and wore my first PINK dress..EVER!
Since moving into the city we wanted to live near public transportation—I love riding the train/subway, it always reminds me of New York City full of the hustle and bustle! With the additional walking we do when we take the train, I make sure to be as comfortable as possible. Did I mention my two featured pieces for today’s post are on sale? Nordstrom rack is having additional 25% off all clearance items [Vince Camuto sweaters] and my boots are only $74!
Is there any other day better than Sunday? It’s the one day I’m not running around doing errands, having a photo shoot, or keeping up with a social calendar. A day that I can sleep in an extra hour, relax, and do absolutely nothing. But the most important reason as to why I love Sundays so much—it’s my brunch day!
I finally made my first Kee Pieces. How-To video! It’s simple but I’m proud of it—5 Ways To Tie A Trench Coat. I always like to add the finishing touches by tying my belt a certain way that adds to the look of the outfit. Plus, read all about my pretty trenches HERE and HERE. Hope you guys like it. Let me know what you think and don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel!
I love pretty dresses as much as the next girl, but let’s be honest—sometimes there’s nothing better [well, maybe sweatpants and a hoodie] than just wearing a pair of jeans and a chunky sweater. Among a few other pieces, these are my casual favorites styled.
There’s nothing I take more seriously than skin care—well except maybe saving lives [hello..nurse over here!]. But it has taken me years to finally find products that don’t either dry or breakout my skin. Since I started this facial skin regimen I’ve noticed my skin looking brighter, refreshed, and healthy—so naturally I wanted to share it with you!
While we’re in this transition between “too hot to wear a parka and too cold to wear just a sweater”, I pulled out my leather jacket that’s perfect for this ambiguous weather. What I love about it is how I can literally wear it with anything and it looks great – you can say it’s a chameleon piece.
If there is one thing I’m good at, it’s finding deals! It’s rare that I ever buy anything for full price and let me tell you that I would have gladly paid in full for this J.Crew Trench [buuuut I didn’t because aren’t things better when they’re practically free?]. This is THE Italian cashmere iconic trench and the quality is top notch. I always say how I get all my coats from this brand – it’s because they know what they’re doing.
Just because winter is almost over doesn’t mean you can’t wear boots. This isn’t the same as the no white after Labor Day rule [which no one follows]. The OTK trend [Over The Knee] started when Julia Roberts donned these babies in Pretty Woman and it looks like it’s not going anywhere. As you may know, when I become obsessed with a piece I usually buy two or three of them in various colors and OTKs are no exception. I bought two similar but different boots by Sam Edelman and Carlos Santana [yes, the musician] and wanted to share my thoughts.
When I was planning my trip to Midwest Wisconsin I did my extensive research [what do you expect from a Type A surgical nurse?!] and it payed off. I had the best time discovering the city and finding the delicious hotspots. Before I start sharing my adventures – I decided that I would change the format of this specific post to look like an itinerary, because let’s face it, most people want the information without the fluff.
